            What To Expect

            FlyOver's Mission is to give people of Des Moines and the surrounding area the atmosphere, setting and instruction to reach their best selves.  Through years of coaching experience we know that CrossFit is a path to reach that personal excellence. CrossFit does not vary by kind only by degree. Meaning ANYONE can participate in CrossFit.  Grandmas who want to keep up with grand kids, college athletes that want to keep the fitness they developed through sport, Dad's who don't want to be old dads. Everyone!!!

            THE HOW

            To start at CrossFit FlyOver you need to sign up and complete our ON-RAMP program. This is 4, 1 hour sessions "How to CrossFit at FlyOver". We will learn how to complete the most fundamental movements, some appropriate ways to scale, give a coach a chance to assess your fitness level and understand your goals. Classes meet the second full week of the month Monday-Thursday 630-730pm .  If this doesn't work for your schedule, we will find something that does.

            THE WELCOME

            Unsure if FlyOver is a good fit for you?  Come to a Welcome Wednesday.  The first Wednesday of every month, FlyOver has FREE classes all day.  Come see what the community, coaching, atmosphere is like.  FlyOver is not your average gym or box, there are people from all walks of life, coming together to share in some hard work, a little suffering, and some laughs.  One of FlyOver's goals is to make this hour you give to your fitness, one of the best hours of your day.

            THE PROMISE

            CrossFit FlyOver's promise is to add value to your day, to your fitness goals.  We will not be as expensive as a personal trainer, we will be more expensive than a globo gym, but you will get the best of both worlds.  We PROMISE to give you programming that helps you reach your goals, we PROMISE to give you the attention and coaching you need to perform work outs effectively and safely, and we PROMISE to be there to answer any question you have about your wellness, fitness and nutrition.  If there is a question we do not know the answer to, we PROMISE to not blow smoke, but be honest and help you find the resources to get the answer you need, not want.

            My favorite thing about CrossFit Flyover are the awesome, fun, adorable and talented people! The Coaches are so knowledgeable and supportive. They push you and encourage you! FlyOver is one big family who cheer you on and raise you up when you're down.

            I am truly surprised at how much I love CrossFit Flyover and have become so dedicated to making it to the gym! I have never been a morning person, but I will wake up so I can get my butt to FlyOver. I am also pleasantly surprised that I am seeing results pretty quickly in my strength, losing weight (fat), and improved overall fitness.

            Before joining CrossFit FlyOver, I had expected most members to be injury prone, reckless or a die-hard athlete. All of which turns out to be false! Everything I've tried since CrossFit can be easily adjusted for success. There is also an almost endless list of possibilities for workouts.
